POSITION: Lead Civil Engineer
Primary responsibility is to assist the Project Manager(s) with the day-to-day implementation of project tasks of team members and to assure that tasks are completed successfully and in conformance with the established project budget. In addition, the position provides resolution to technical problems and project production issues as they occur.


• Responsible for assisting Project Managers in the execution of all project cost and control procedures implemented by the Company.
• Directs the work of project team members including Project Engineers, Civil Designers, Engineering Technicians and other technical staff members.
• Responsible for working with all team members to ensure that their assigned project tasks are completed successfully, on time and within approved budget.
• Responsible for obtaining and communicating a clear understanding of project(s) scope of work, schedule, client expectations and project budget to all necessary project team members.
• Provide direction, support, quality control/constructability reviews and training to project team members as they execute assigned project tasks.
• Work with project team members to ensure that work on assigned project tasks are properly documented for future reference.
• Assist the Project Manager in the recognition and documentation of changes to project scope of work and assist the Project Manager in ensuring that adequate compensation is agreed to by the client.
• Participate in technical presentations to (and for) clients as required.
• Responsible for assisting the Project Manager in documenting project history, correspondence and all other related documents.
• Performs complex engineering calculations, analysis and designs in the support of the development of engineering projects.
• Responsible for ensuring that quality control and constructability reviews are being performed on project deliverables by the Manager of Technical Operations.
• Represent the Company in a professional manner at all outside meetings with current and potential clients.
• Perform other duties as requested by Project Managers and Department Manager.


• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in the field of Civil Engineering.
• Current Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (Civil) within the State of Georgia or another state. If P.E. license has been obtained in another state outside the state of Georgia, then license must be obtained within six months from the date of hire.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Proficient in the utilization of MicroStation and CAiCE
